Ian opened CrossFit Littleton in conjunction with Factory X Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to bring a full scale CrossFit gym and Jiu-Jitsu facility to the southwest JeffCo area. Ian enjoys working with people of all persuasions - using the CrossFit method to empower them in their day to day routines, making them more capable in general and improving their quality of life.

* CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer
* CrossFit Basic Barbell Certified

Brent Chapman - CrossFit Trainer
Brent Chapman (a.k.a. In college, he all but abandoned physical exercise and struggled with weight, sleep apnea, and dysmetabolic syndrome. After numerous abortive attempts at getting healthy he came across the "Starting Strength" method in 2007 as a way to improve his physical fitness and lose weight.

Strict powerlifting yielded good results in terms of strength and body composition but still left him sucking air during ski days and backpacking trips. Jeremy discovered that the authors of the starting strength book were closely affiliated with Crossfit and that the Crossfit methodology offered broader fitness for everyone despite appearing tailor-made for only the most hardcore athletes. His philosophical side was also drawn the the theoretical rigorousness of Crossfit and its open-source and often iconoclastic approach to fitness. He began his own Crossfit training in January of 2009 and decided to attend a certification course in February of the same year.

Jeremy has been extremely happy with the results of Crossfit training, though he was most impressed with the community atmosphere and camaraderie that goes hand in hand with being a part of the Crossfit community. He knows that Crossfit has something to offer everyone, and has a special sensitivity to the difficulties of weight loss and the psychological challenges involved in making a change in lifestyle. He has discovered a host of personal benefits that accrue when testing limitations and overcoming challenges through Crossfit, and he has found sharing these benefits with others to be very rewarding.

* CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Corene Henage - CrossFit Trainer
After discovering CrossFit Littleton in January 2009, Corene quickly came to love the high intensity of the workouts, not to mention the CrossFit Littleton family! Then there comes a time when it lies within his grasp to shape the clay of his life into the sort of thing he wishes to be. She recalls being the only girl on the soccer and t-ball teams at age 5, and remembers spending Sundays sitting in an old armchair with her Dad watching the Redskins. She grew up in Northern Virginia participating in swim team, soccer, field hockey, basketball and track. It was not until attending college in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia that she discovered her true passions in trail running, mountain biking and snowboarding. She spent college summers in Virginia Beach as an oceanfront lifeguard, where she met her now-husband Matt. Tara graduated from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce with a degree in Marketing and Management. Shortly after graduation, she took up surfing during a 6 month venture in Australia and New Zealand.

After a short career utilizing her business degree as a healthcare consultant, Tara decided she much preferred the patient-care aspect of healthcare. A running injury introduced her to the field of physical therapy, and she soon quit her consulting job and pursued a career as a physical therapist.

A love of the mountains and snowboarding drew Tara and Matt to Colorado. Tara earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. While in graduate school she continued to participate in sports as a youth soccer, flag football, and t-ball coach. She also began volunteering as a snowboard instructor with the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park. Her passion for working with athletes of all ages and abilities led her to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Tara recently had the opportunity to live in Hawaii and work at an outpatient sports medicine physical therapy clinic on the island of Kauai. Although she enjoyed surfing every morning before work, she and her husband soon realized that Colorado was their true home. They moved back in early 2008, and Tara joined the Rocky Mountain Spine & Sport team in their Castle Rock clinic. She is currently working toward her Manual Therapy Certification from the University of St. Augustine. Tara believes in treating the whole person and working with each individual towards his or her specific goals. She strives to ensure that each patient leaves the clinic feeling better than when they walked in the door.

Outside of the clinic, Tara enjoys spending time on the trails with her husband Matt and their lab/golden retriever Wallaby. She continues to run, mountain bike, hike, snowboard, swim, and surf whenever possible.

Tara is an avid CrossFitter and brings an intimate knowledge of what our clients do on a daily basis to the therapy she provides.

* PT
* DPT
* CSCS
